PIN Only Access

The Kiosk has the ability to access a person's account simply by entering their personal identification number (PIN). To enable this feature, turn on the 'Use PIN Only Mode' system option. PINs can be set in Elexio Database as well as by updating a person's account in the Kiosk.

Please note that this is not a secure method of account access and it is recommended that this be performed by administrative staff only.

Because PINs are not guaranteed to be unique, this mode will behave differently depending on the value of the 'Show Family Selection' option:

If the PIN matches only one person in the database:

  • If Show Family Selection is off, it will go to Event Selection Screen.

If the PIN matches multiple people in the database:

  • If Show Family Selection is on and all matches are in the same household then it will go to the Family Selection screen. You can use this to assign the same PIN for an entire household.

  • If Show Family Selection is on and the matches include people from different households then it will go to a People List and then to the Family Selection screen.

  • If Show Family Selection is off then it will go to the People List and then to the Event Selection Screen.
