System Options: User Name / PIN

Use PIN Only Mode

Use this option to turn on or off the ability to access an account using only a person's personal identification number (PIN). Turning this option on will display the PIN keypadin the Kiosk. PINs can be set in the Elexio Database as well as by updating a person's account in the Kiosk.

Because PINs are not guaranteed to be unique, this mode will behave differently depending on the value of the 'Show Family Selection' option:

If the PIN matches only one person in the database:

  • If Show Family Selection is off, it will go to Event Selection Screen.

If the PIN matches multiple people in the database:

  • If Show Family Selection is on and all matches are in the same household then it will go to the Family Selection screen. You can use this to assign the same PIN for an entire household.

  • If Show Family Selection is on and the matches include people from different households then it will go to a People List and then to the Family Selection screen.

  • If Show Family Selection is off then it will go to the People List and then to the Event Selection Screen.

User Name and PIN

Allow Blank PIN (System wide)

Use this option to control how the kiosk will handle a situation when a person with a blank PIN selects their name from the name selection list.

If this option is set to Yes, the system will not prompt for a PIN and display the Family Selection Screen.

If this option is set to No, the system will deny access unless the Override PIN is entered.

PINs can be set in the Elexio Database as well as by updating a person's account in the Kiosk.

Please note that turning this option off will also ignore the Minimum Age option.
