System Options: User Name / PIN
Use PIN Only Mode
Use this option to turn on or off the ability to access an account using only a person's personal identification number (PIN). Turning this option on will display the PIN keypadin the Kiosk. PINs can be set in the Elexio Database as well as by updating a person's account in the Kiosk.
Because PINs are not guaranteed to be unique, this mode will behave differently depending on the value of the 'Show Family Selection' option:
If the PIN matches only one person in the database:
If the PIN matches multiple people in the database:
User Name and PIN
Use this option to turn on or off the ability to access an account using a person's name and personal identification number (PIN). Turning this option on will display the user name and pin access button in Kiosk Mode.
PINs can be set in the Elexio Database as well as by updating a person's account in the Kiosk.
Allow Blank PIN (System wide)
Use this option to control how the kiosk will handle a situation when a person with a blank PIN selects their name from the name selection list.
If this option is set to Yes, the system will not prompt for a PIN and display the Family Selection Screen.
If this option is set to No, the system will deny access unless the Override PIN is entered.
PINs can be set in the Elexio Database as well as by updating a person's account in the Kiosk.
User Not Found Message (System wide)
Default: Sorry, but we were unable to locate you in our database. Please register at the welcome center.
Use this option to specify the message the Kiosk will display when it is unable to locate a person's account in the database.
Incorrect PIN Message (System wide)
Default: Sorry, but this PIN is invalid. Please try again or go to the welcome center for assistance.
Use this option to define what message should be displayed to a user who enters an incorrect PIN.
Require PIN
Use this option to specify whether or not to prompt for a PIN when checking in or out with a user name.
For security purposes, it is recommended to use a PIN at self-service Kiosks. However, if your Kiosks are run by administrative staff, you may consider not prompting for a PIN to speed up the check in/out process.
Please note that turning this option off will also ignore the Minimum Age option.
Name Format (System wide)
Use this option to specify how names will appear in the name selection lists in the Kiosk.
Name Search Mode (System wide)
Options: Name must contain all of the words in the search text / Name must start with the search text.
Use this option to control how you would like to search to function when looking for names in the name selection box during User Name/PIN account access.
