Prayer Requests

Elexio Database makes it very easy to keep track of all the prayer requests you receive and then communicate them to your church leaders or a prayer ministry team. Prayer requests and the results of the answered prayer are recorded on the Personal screen of the People area.

Entering Prayer Requests:

  1. Click on the Add New button in the upper right.

  2. Select Prayer Request

  3. Enter the prayer request in the Details field under Request Information

  4. Check the Confidential box to prevent the request from being included on the Non-Confidential Prayer Request report.

  5. If you'd like to assign the request to a specific staff person, then you may do so with the Assigned To field, but it is not required. (This list is populated with all the people who have the Assign Follow-Ups box checked in the Other Options section of the People/General Info screen).

  6. Each prayer request has a section to enter the Status.  There is a field to enter the Date Answered. In the Details field, you can enter the result or current status of the request.

  7. When a prayer request is no longer active, uncheck the Active box to prevent the Prayer Request from showing up on the Prayer List reports.

TIP:  You may want to set a policy on how long prayer request stay active on your list.  For example, prayer request stay active for 3 weeks then get deactivated unless the person requests additional prayer.

Viewing Prayer Requests:

You can easily view all prayer requests at once to mark them as inactive or record results. From the Home Screen in Elexio Database, under Quicklinks, click the View Prayer Requests link. (You can also access this area when you're on the Personal screen by clicking Common Tasks/View Prayer Requests).

The Prayer Requests screen shows a spreadsheet-like list of all prayer requests that you can easily sort and manager. By default all the active requests will be listed to the top by date.
