Giving

Giving to your church is simple with Elexio Mobile. Start by selecting Giving from the menu. If you don't see this option, it means that Online Giving is not enabled for your church. If you want to enable it, Click Here for more info. Another possible explanation for not seeing Giving is that visibility to this feature of the app is restricted as part of the permissions settings for users with the role of Portal & Mobile (limited access).

Give as a Guest

Guest Giving allows visitors to give without creating an account. 

 

Guests can tap "Giving" and then tap "Give as a guest". They will be taken to the Guest Giving Module and will be asked to enter some basic information to make their donations (name, address, email, card or bank account info, donation amount). When done, they'll hit the green "Donate" button to make the donation. If the donation is successful, they are returned to the mobile application.

Please Note: Giving as a guest only allows for instance-by-instance giving. The module does not facilitate pledges or scheduled giving. Those giving functions require an account. Please read more about Elexio's Guest Giving here.

Scheduled Giving & Giving History

Scheduled Giving and Giving History are displayed on this screen. Scheduled Giving can be cancelled from this screen by tapping the blue box and then tapping the red x that appears. Giving History is just a list of your giving from the past year (since 1/1) and the sum total of that giving is listed at the bottom.

Make a Donation

NOTE: Due to restrictions Apple demands regarding online financial transactions, only the iOS version will exit the app for Giving. Tap Donate to be taken to your church's Elexio Mobile donation page.

Type the amount that you would like to donate in the Amount field. Select the fund that you would like to donate to from the drop down list in the Fund field. Add any additional comments that you would like recorded with your donation in the Comments field.

On the next screen, select your payment method. This can be a credit card, checking account or savings account.

If you do not see the specific payment method you would like to use on the list, select Add New. You can then add a credit card, checking account or savings account as a payment method.

NOTE: The first time you give with Mobile, you will need to set up a payment method

For Checking and Saving accounts, you will need the bank routing number and the bank account number

For Credit cards, you will need the account number, expiration date, card verification number, name on card, email, and billing address.

By tapping the Edit button, you can also edit the information of an existing payment method or delete it (as shown above).

Tap Save to keep your changes. Return to the menu to discard them. Tap the red X button to remove the method all together.

Once you have set up your payment method it will be added to the list of available payment methods.

Select the method with which you wish to make your donation

Confirm that you wish to make your donation by touching Give.

Does Elexio Mobile support the use of Mobile Card Readers?

We don't have plans to support this at this time. Maybe we will at some point. For now, users will have to enter their credit card info 1 time. It's saved for future transactions which could be donations or ticket sales. We encourage you to start training your people to make payments from our mobile app instead of a card reader so they can skip the line at the door.
